Fyre Festival's Founder Arrested Again On Fraud Charges

Things aren’t looking good for Fyre Festival’s promoter Billy McFarland.

Last year the entrepreneur was placed under arrest after he charged exorbitant ticket prices for what turned out to be a fake luxury music festival in the Bahamas.

This past Tuesday, McFarland was arrested again and charged with earning $100,000 by selling fake tickets to exclusive fashion, sporting, and music events. Apparently, McFarland sold the passes through a company called NYC VIP Access.

Manhattan federal prosecutors charged him with one count wire fraud and one count money laundering. McFarland faces a maximum 40 years in prison if convicted.
