A 24/7 mental health helpline has been launched for music industry pressionals in Australia.
Australian charity Support Act its new Wellbeing Helpline this week. The charity has described “the free and confidential service as] available to anyone working in Australian music who needs to talk to someone about any aspect their wellbeing. The service will also fer specific urgent support for people who may be a risk to themselves or others.”
The move follows growing concern in the music industry the importance taking care the health those who work in it, particularly following the death Avicii earlier . A similar service was also launched in the UK late last year by charity .
The helpline has been made possible by support from The Tony Foundation and Levi Strauss Australia, and is available in Australia on 1800 959 500.
