Vanessa Bryant has named and shamed the police officers who took pictures of her late husband Kobe Bryant’s remains following the helicopter crash that claimed his life.

In a series of posts on her Instagram page, which she left caption-less, Vanessa shared every single page from the lawsuit she filed against the Los Angeles County, the sheriff’s department, and LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva in September.

The lawsuit, which came after it was reported that March that pictures had been taken of the crash in January – which also killed Vanessa and Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people – cites emotional distress, negligence, and invasion of privacy.

“At the moment the deputies snapped photos of Kobe and Gianna’s remains, they created a harm that cannot be undone, and the Department’s response has only exacerbated that harm,” the lawsuit reads.

Elsewhere in the documents, it is revealed that one of the officers in question, who didn’t have an active role in the investigation into Kobe’s death, “shared the photos with a personal friend with whom he played video games with every night”.

Following her posts on Instagram, Vanessa was praised by fans for naming the officers involved in the shocking breach, with one writing: “Vanessa Bryant revealed the names of those disgraceful police officers that shared that shared the images. Good on her.”

“The fact that Vanessa Bryant didn’t burn down this entire police station is incredible to me. I feel sick reading this,” another added.

Vanessa is also suing officials at the helicopter company for wrongful death.
