There’s no denying that there is an “anonymous” trend sweeping through dance music that is looking to build on the success of ZHU. Artists like MALAA and marshmello have chosen to keep their identities secret in favor of letting their music speak for itself, and the results of these masked producers are often varied. The latest anonymous identity to appear is Cignature, who claims to be the side project of an established artist. The mysterious producer has unleashed a slew of remixes that showcase a beautiful, euphoric sound that has come to define his music, and his latest effort, a remix of Kaskade’s “Room for Happiness,” is no different. On the remix, Cignature moves away from his typical progressive stylings, choosing to switch things up to a more trap-driven sound for an impressive chill trap/future bass product. Cignature infuses the remix with ethereal bass accents and drawn-out synths while cutting and chopped the vocals to add another element to the melodic component of the track.
