Kid Cudi is back with some new music.
Late Monday night (April 13), Cudi released his new single, "Leader of the Delinquents," which is his first solo track since his April 2018 record, “The Rage.”
On the Arkateqq and Dot Da Genius-produced track, the 36-year-old rapper speaks on rebellion and drugs before addressing heavier topics like, mental health.
"Hello friends, Cudder again/Gotta smack 'em with some shit before the world ends/Same old denims, worn for days/I been home makin' jams and many wonderful waves/I see in many wondrous shades/Peekin' out the shadows at a new landscape/I've been trapped in my mind, I've been tryna escape," Cudi rhymes at the beginning at the record.
Kid Cudi originally previewed "Leader of the Delinquents" on April 10, during an Instagram Live chat with Jaden Smith.
Kid Cudi's most recent single is set to appear on his forthcoming project, Entergalactic. The album's release date hasn't been announced just yet, but Cudi has promised that the LP is coming this year.
"Entergalactic will be something you've never experienced," Cudi said on Twitter last summer about the project. "I promise it'll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!"
This will be Kid Cudi's first solo album since his 2016 effort Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin'. Entergalactic will also be the follow-up to his 2018 joint album, Kids See Ghosts with Kanye West.
