The man responsible for helping to architect the successful career of rapper Ludacris was shot in Atlanta last night (June 26th).
According to reports, Chaka Zulu, the co-CEO of Luda’s Disturbing Tha Peace Records, was shot in Buckhead with two other men.
According to 11Alive, an argument occurred in a parking lot behind a shopping center on Peachtree Road near the Benihana Atlanta restaurant around 11:30 PM.
An unknown gunman fired off at least nine rounds during the fracas, striking all three individuals. The men were transported to a local hospital, where one of them died from his injuries.
So far, police have not revealed Chaka Zulu’s medical condition.
Homicide investigators are investigating the shooting. At least three cars were towed from the crime scene, where distraught individuals gathered as cops spent hours investigating the crime scene.
According to sources, the shooting was caught on nearby surveillance cameras and detectives are currently reviewing the footage for clues as to what sparked the deadly confrontation.
The identities of the deceased individual or the other wounded person have yet to be released.
Chaka Zulu is a highly respected individual in Atlanta and the music business at large. Some artists he has helped guide include Jeezy, Swizz Beatz, Bobby V, Big K.R.I.T., and others.
