This song was inspired from the many actions of the brave men and women who continue to fight for equality and those who lost their lives within the fight for equality and everyday struggles of life. The name ‘Black Robin Hood’ derived from Robin Hood- a legendary heroic outlaw originally depicted in English folklore and subsequently featured in literature and film. Ultimately, Robin Hood was outlawed and fought for the well-being of his people. Throughout Black History, all of our leaders have been outlawed and discredited (many killed) for fighting for what’s right. Therefore, I will be the ‘Black’ representation of Robin Hood.
