The second murder trial related to the death of Jacksonville, Fla. rapper Foolio is officially underway. On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, opening arguments commenced in the case against four men charged with the rapper’s murder in June 2024.
Prosecutors allege that Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Rashad Murphy, and Davion Murphy were involved in the killing, which authorities describe as a violent escalation of an ongoing gang war. The conflict reportedly involves Foolio’s 6 Block collective and the opposing Top Killers and 1200 groups, with which the defendants are allegedly affiliated. To establish the motive and the intensity of the rivalry, the prosecution played Yungeen Ace‘s track “Game Over” for the jury, presenting it as evidence of the deep-seated animosity between the parties.
The trial also provided a stark look at the evidence collected by law enforcement. The prosecution presented footage from Davion Murphy’s post-arrest interrogation. The video reportedly shows the defendant mimicking the act of firing a weapon multiple times after being left alone in the room by investigators.
According to authorities, Gathright, Rashad Murphy, and Davion Murphy are accused of carrying out the fatal shooting outside of a Holiday Inn in Tampa, Fla. Isaiah Chance is alleged to have acted as a coordinator, tracking the rapper’s movements to provide location data to the shooters.
This trial follows the conviction of Alicia Andrews, the fifth individual charged in the case, who was found guilty of manslaughter last November. Her sentencing was delayed after an appeals court removed the presiding judge due to a defense motion alleging judicial bias.
