Latto has opened up about a social media mishap that led to her unintentionally revealing her pregnancy to the world before she had planned to make an official announcement. The Atlanta rapper shared behind-the-scenes footage from her new “GOMF” music video, where she explained the situation to fellow artist GloRilla.
According to Latto, the incident stemmed from a lack of familiarity with the platform’s interface. “I had just shot the [‘Business and Personal (Intro)’] video,” Latto explained. “I’m taking in the car, I look down, the TikTok not there. I’m like, it’s not on my page, where is it at? Auntie don’t know about that TikTok Story.”
The accidental post, which featured a glimpse of her pregnant belly, remained live long enough to garner 77 views before she realized the error and removed it. In the aftermath, many fans speculated that the footage might have been generated by artificial intelligence, a theory Latto addressed during her conversation. “But people that I told was like, no, this is real,” she noted, revealing that she had shared the news with GloRilla and Sexyy Red prior to the public reveal.
Latto eventually confirmed her pregnancy in the official music video for “Business and Personal (Intro),” which included a cameo from her boyfriend, 21 Savage. The track serves as the lead single from her highly anticipated album, Big Mama, which is slated for release on May 29.
By all indications, Latto is well into her pregnancy, and fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby. Below, you can watch Latto discuss the accidental TikTok reveal.
