A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s Breakup With Ella Bands Plays Out On Social Media

It appears A Boogie wit da Hoodie (born Artist Dubose) and Ella Bands (born Ella Rodriguez) have called it quits as a couple. Boogie used his Instagram Story to reveal that he is no longer in a relationship with the mother of his children.

“As much as I don’t wanna admit it, I don’t deserve @slaybyella_. You have a beautiful long life ahead of you and I don’t wanna be the reason you’re not happy [crying face emoji]. Be free. Go be what you truly want to be,” wrote Boogie.

Bands responded to the “Mood Swings” rhymer with her own IG account. She reposted Boogie’s message and added, “Lmao we already talked about this in real life and it was my idea. [I don’t know] why he coming on Instagram with it like he setting me free. Boy, go to hell [face with rolling eyes emoji].”

Apparently, some social media users began to wonder if cheating played a part in the two splitting up. Bands decided to address those infidelity rumors on Twitter. The Slay By Ella eyelash entrepreneur even offered praise for her ex-boyfriend.

“@ArtistHBTL is a good person. He’s been good to me and I’m thankful for everything you’ve ever done for me. This has nothing to do with cheating, he’s changed a lot for me and put in a lot of effort for us to be together. We just don’t see eye to eye anymore,” tweeted Bands.

Even though they both confirmed the breakup, A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Ella Bands still have photos of their family posted on their respective Instagram pages. The two Bronx natives welcomed a daughter named Melody Valentine Dubose on Valentine’s Day 2017. They also have a son named Artist Jr. who was born on June 27, 2020.
