Chris Brown Remanded to Jail

On Friday (May 16), Breezy appeared before a U.K. judge to face a charge of suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the alleged attack of a music producer in 2023. The singer was remanded to jail until his next court date, which is June 13, XXL has confirmed via the Metropolitan Police Department.

Brown was arrested at The Lowrey Hotel by the Metropolitan Police after arriving in the city on Wednesday afternoon (May 14) for upcoming concerts. He was booked on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm for allegedly attacking music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, Central London, in February of 2023.

According to U.K. news outlet The Sun, Diaw claims Brown attacked him without provocation. Diaw told authorities that Brown hit him over the head with a bottle and then punched and kicked him when he fell to the ground. The producer reportedly filed a $16 million lawsuit against Brown in connection with the incident. But Brown skated criminal charges until he showed back up in the country.
