Deriving inspiration from all of the great Rock artists that have blazed a trail before them, the rock duo Blakk Mantra have recently released their latest  EP Welcome To El Rey Blvd featuring singles “Queen Of Infinite Space” and “Perhaps We’ll Live.”

The eclectic contemporary rock number recorded in Austin, TX with The Machine, is a great follow up to their previous EP released this year titled Where There’s Smoke There’s Dope. However, with all of their innovations brought to the Rock genre, Welcome To El Rey Blvd feels like a new turn, or rather, a much-needed step back. It’s a simple, back-to-basics piece of Rock music that reaches for the heart of the listener with lyrics of love and empowerment, bringing people together.
With feel-good grooves and fuzzed-out basslines, each track finds the band fully engaged in the sound of their own performing music that’s still as beautiful, optimistic, strange, and singular as ever.

Although it’s short, the EP engages different and known indie-rock ideas, but taking them with a different approach that makes the project sound fresh and fun that makes us certainly wait for more music from Blakk Mantra.
