Cam’ron and J. Cole have officially put an end to their legal feud over their 2024 collaboration, “Ready ’24.”

According to documents obtained by XXL on Tuesday (May 26), Cam’ron informed the court that the parties have reached an agreement in principle to resolve the remaining claims in the lawsuit and are currently finalizing the settlement papers. While the specific financial terms of the settlement remain undisclosed, both artists are expected to complete the agreement within 30 days.

This resolution follows a high-profile legal battle in which the Harlem, N.Y., rapper sued the Dreamville founder, alleging that the two had an agreement for a reciprocal collaboration. Cam’ron claimed that after he delivered his verse for the Might Delete Later track “Ready ’24,” J. Cole failed to fulfill his end of the bargain, which allegedly included appearing on a Cam’ron track or guesting on his popular It Is What It Is podcast.

Cam’ron had sought to be credited as a co-author on the song, alongside monetary damages exceeding $500,000. In response, J. Cole’s legal team denied the allegations, asserting that no such promise for a reciprocal feature or appearance was ever made.

The tension eventually dissipated following a sit-down between the two artists on a March episode of the Talk With Flee podcast. During the conversation, which took place after the release of Cole’s The Fall-Off, the pair squashed their friction. J. Cole admitted he was initially disappointed by the legal action, noting, “When the lawsuit came out, I was like, ‘Come on Cam.’ My ego reaction is like, quietly, I’m like, ‘f**k this ni**a.’ But quickly I’m like, ‘But nah I get it though.'”

Ultimately, the Dipset leader conceded that the lawsuit was largely a strategic move to capture attention. “Of course it was never gonna go anywhere, but for me it was like, ‘I need to get this ni**a attention,'” he admitted.
