Following his departure from Capitol Records, Kodak Black has officially responded to Young Thug’s public invitation to join the YSL Records roster. The Florida rapper, who recently confirmed his status as a free agent, has set a high bar for any potential partnership, demanding a significant financial commitment and a creative collaboration with Mariah The Scientist.

During a recent livestream, Kodak addressed the offer Thugger extended late last month. “Yeah, Thug talking about whatever I think I want if I do a deal. Oh yeah?” Kodak remarked to his audience. “Well sh*t. I need a collab album with Mariah The Scientist, I need a hundred millions…” While he did not elaborate further, these two conditions serve as the primary pillars of his current negotiation stance.

The public pitch from Young Thug arrived shortly after news broke that Kodak had parted ways with Capitol Records. Thugger took to X to express his interest, stating, “If he would do a deal with me, I would give that boy whateva he think he want #NoCizzy.”

Kodak’s career trajectory has seen significant shifts in recent years. After an eight-year tenure with Atlantic Records, he signed a reported multimillion-dollar deal with Capitol in 2022. His time there included the release of When I Was Dead and several subsequent projects, concluding with Kodak the Blessing in early June. As he navigates his next chapter, the industry remains tuned in to see if the YSL boss will meet these bold demands.
