The Canadian group of 5 is on a roll with a new hit track “Desert Moonlight.” Hot Mondy combines musical strengths to create a beautifully fitted composition.
Following up on this year’s “Pale Ember” single, Hot Mondy doubles down on country-infused qualities. Geared towards the early hours, the band serves up cuts of intimate music with a center on low-slung grooves and laidback atmospheres.
“Desert Moonlight” leads us down the rabbit hole of progressive country music with a modern twist. It is full of disorientating spatial sounds, brooding texture, and the emotional depth we’ve come to love and expect from the band.
The track further illuminates the path for Hot Mondy to trek to success. The new track somewhat introduces a playful twitch to the palette, full of moving echoes and melodies.
