During a recent screening of his Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, at Wild Cherry in New York City, 50 Cent addressed the viral controversy surrounding a leaked sex tape featuring Diddy and his former partner, Daphne Joy.

When asked for his perspective on the footage, which also included a male sex worker, the rapper-turned-mogul was characteristically blunt. “We haven’t had any intimacy for 12 years. She could be out back with a dog for all I care,” he stated, drawing audible reactions from the audience.

50 Cent further remarked that he had considered including Daphne Joy in his documentary, suggesting that she occupied a unique position in the context of the “Freak-Off” sessions. “When we think of women, we go empowerment for women, but let’s not forget that there’s some hoes… [and predators],” he added. “So there are people who are there who are looking for those things. They look for that.”

Alexandria Stapleton, the director of the documentary, clarified that Daphne Joy had been invited to participate in the project but ultimately chose to decline. Following the leak, Daphne Joy addressed the situation via a statement on Threads, acknowledging her past choices. “Everybody plays the fool sometimes and I’ve been the biggest fool,” she wrote. “I just wanted my man at the time to be happy and satisfied… I wanted to fulfill all his desires, even if that meant breaking my own boundaries.”

The relationship between 50 Cent and Daphne Joy has been marked by long-standing tension, particularly regarding the co-parenting of their 13-year-old son, Sire, and a protracted custody battle that has played out in the public eye for years.
